DaimlerChrysler AG enters into a definitive agreement to sell 80.1 percent of the Chrysler Group and its related financial services business to Cerberus Capital Management, L. P., for $7.4 billion.

Now officially known as Chrysler LLC, Chrysler becomes one of the nation’s largest privately-held companies.
