Walter P. Chrysler Museum Welcomes Auto/Photo Experts For Two Enthusiast Series Programs – Sept. 18 and Oct. 6

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum is hosting two enthusiast presentations this fall – Under the Hood will highlight the back stories of several of the vehicles within the collection, while Professional Motorsports Photography will feature tricks of the trade for taking pictures like a pro.

Both programs -- part of the lecture-workshop series the Museum launched earlier this year. -- are presented by Shuman Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram in Walled Lake, Mich.  more

The award bestowed to inaugural Walter P. Chrysler Legacy Circle inductees is an original, limited edition work of art from the Chrysler Product Design Office and truly inspired by the man for which the Museum, and the honor, are named.

Chrysler Museum is mounting a fanciful exhibition Jan. 12 through May 2, 2010, featuring five distinctly-unique, super-powered machines.  The special exhibit features a snow-blower, merry-go-round, barbecue grill and ice resurfacer – life-size / oversized inventions built for power with Chrysler’s 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine. Rounding out the collection is a 1956 Chrysler Air Raid Siren powered by a 180-horsepower industrial HEMI V-8.  more

  • After hours viewing of two Chrysler ME Four-Twelve concept vehicles and the Dodge Tomahawk concept on exhibit in the Museum. As much an engineering as a design statement, the quad-turbo, V-12-powered ME Four-Twelve is Chrysler’s first mid-engine concept. The Viper V-10 engine-powered, single-passenger Tomahawk is a four-wheel icon of unconventional thinking that combines art-deco styling with extreme engineering.

Jeep® in the Movies is Now Playing at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum

The Walter P. Chrysler Museum, in Auburn Hills, Mich., is spotlighting Jeep® in the Movies featuring two celebrated vehicles:  the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon featured in Paramount Pictures’, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that co-starred in the Paramount release, Sahara.

Running through July 27, Jeep in the Movies kicks off the Unique Vehicle Pairs Spotlight series of production and concept duos that will be temporarily exhibited on the Museum’s second level.
